The Emergency Assistance/General Assistance department serves families in times of need. Limited assistance is available to those who qualify. Assistance may include: gas, electric, water and limited medical. In addition, the department serves as an extension of the Salvation Army and is able to provide limited emergency funds.
DuPage Township also operates a food pantry at 719 Parkwood in Romeoville (see map). Residents are able to obtain groceries from the pantry twice each month.
Intended to help families through a crisis by providing financial assistance for necessary utilities. Qualified residents may only utilize this program once during a 18-month period.
Is limited to those who do not qualify for other types of state or federally funded assistance. The program provides financial aid to meet basic needs.
